Servers

Food Servers collaborate with Cooks, Chefs, Restaurant Managers, and other food service staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the organization. Must be 21+. Food Server responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and seating customers

  • Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system

  • Making menu item recommendations

  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff

  • Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality

  • Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals

  • Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary

  • Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen, and in the dining area

Food Runners

The responsibilities and duties of a Food Runner center around their ability to deliver food correctly to the customers who ordered it. That may seem simple, but there’s actually quite a bit more involved in being a Food Runner including these major duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately

  • Uphold sanitation and food safety principles

  • Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash

  • Check-in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory

  • Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties

  • Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food

  • Assist in setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations

  • Handle various impromptu requests from customers

Sous Chef

Annual salary $50,000 based on experience

Grill cook

Job Description:

Rockin’ Pig is seeking hospitality heroes to join the family. Grill Cook is responsible for properly cooking burgers and steaks to the correct temperature. Also, maintain a clean and food-safe station. Must have open availability and reliable transportation. There will be weekly, opening and closing responsibilities designated by Management.

  • Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.

  • Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.

  • Checking that ingredient remain fresh and safe for consumption

  • Preventing cross-contamination.

  • Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.

  • Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.

  • Liaising with waitstaff once orders are finalized.

  • Ensuring that your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times.

  • Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.

  • Tracking inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.

  • Prior experience as a cook, preferably with a focus on grilling.

Woodfire Pizza Cook

Job Description:

Pizza Chef responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders considering special requests.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with various pizza types and be available to work during business hours.

  • Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders.

  • Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment.

Prep Cook

Job Description:

The Prep Cook is to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. They will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. They will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. They will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties.

  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.

  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.

  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

  • Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc., and assist the Line Cook when needed.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.

  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Dishwasher

Job Summary:

Responsibilities of the job include showing up on time for work, providing other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed, and following all sanitary and health-related protocols.

Job Duties:

  • Load, run, and unload the industrial dishwasher

  • Hand wash certain items when necessary

  • Keep the kitchen and equipment clean and organized

  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles in the kitchen area

  • Clean dish storage

  • Follow sanitation policies at all times

  • Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times

  • Bus tables when needed

  • Perform opening, closing, and side work

  • Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately

  • Sweep and mop kitchen and dining area

  • Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to the appropriate party

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
